Jesus: Prophet of Islam by Muhammad Ata Ur-Rahim

In-store location: Shelf 3.18

By Muhammad Ata Ur-Rahim, Revised by Ahmad ThomsonTahrike Tarsile Qur'an, Hardcover, 334 pages

This text examines Jesus as a prophet teaching the Unity of God, and the historical collapse of Christianity as it abandoned his teaching.

The author sketches the picture of the original followers of Jesus who affirmed Unity. What emerges is that "Christianity" is the fiction that replaced their truth. The book presents an incontrovertible challenge to any Christian reader, as well as providing an illuminating perspective for understanding the wave of new scholarship among Christian theologians that rejects the "official" interpretation of Jesus and his mission.

About the author:

Muhammad Ata’ur-Rahim lived much of his life in Hyderabad, India, before moving to Pakistan at the time of the Partition in 1947. He was awarded the degrees of BT, LLB and MA at the Muslim University of Aligarh, before completing his further studies in education at the Universities of Edinburgh and London. He has written several other books including ‘Unitarianism in Christianity’ and ‘The Meeting Ground of Islam and Christianity’.
